The Baby Counts Too!

Dragon called me to tell me that he would be home late. No big deal. I asked if on his way home if he could please stop and get a gallon of water for the baby's bottles. "Sure" he said. He would also get us fountain drinks. So he gets home, hands over my drink and starts telling me about his day and some stuff he has to get done before going out of state Monday for two weeks. When I asked where the baby's water was he leans his head back and says "CRAP!". Lol. I guess it is easy to forget that there is a tiny one when he is quiet most of the time and daddy works more than he sees the little guy.
So that means that I now have to load up kids (daddy is going to shower and we can't leave them to themselves that long) and go get Prince some water before the store closes since he will need it at about the 3 am feeding. I have Red and his cousin go into the store. Then I remeber Prince also needs some more rice cereal. So we go to that store. Once again Red and his cousin go in. They are 9 and 11 and for some reason when they come out I think that it would have been hilarious to see the look on the cashier's face had they upon check out made the comment to her "Yeah, our son ran out of rice cereal so we had to come get more." I would have died right then and there, but I would have been laughing. As we are headed home I tell them that the baby thanks them (he stayed home with daddy since he was sleeping) and they decide to say thank you to his empty seat. I've got some goofy kids!
Granted, I know that teen parenting is no laughing matter, but we live in a very small town and that sort of thing really isnt prominent here so yeah, the cashier probably would have had a heart attack right there. Maybe it was a good thing that they didn't say that since she may have called the cops on me to have me investigated for having children that had children at such a young age. Oh well, better laughs later.
